Northrop Team of Long & Foster to Move Into Clarksville Commons
CLARKSVILLE, Md. (PRWEB) May 24, 2017 -- The Creig Northrop Team of Long & Foster Real Estate will move its main office from its current Clarksville location into a larger space in Clarksville Commons, a 40,000-square-foot, mixed-use development in the heart of Clarksville’s retail corridor along Route 108. The Northrop Team will move in August after the office space construction is completed at Clarksville Commons.
“The future of Clarksville is Clarksville Commons. It’s smart and sustainable and will provide space for local businesses and exciting events as a center of activity in Clarksville. We’re excited to join Clarksville Commons and look forward to a new, beautiful office to continue serving home buyers and sellers in Maryland,” said Creig Northrop, president and CEO of the Northrop Team.
Clarksville Commons, located at 12230 Clarksville Pike, will consist of a courtyard between a pair of two-story buildings containing retail, office and restaurant space. The Northrop Team will occupy 8,000 square feet of the north building with the team’s logo signage displayed prominently on three sides of the building.
The Northrop Team will join FoodPlenty, a locally sourced restaurant by the owners of Victoria Gastro Pub in Columbia, You Pizza from the owners of Facci in Laurel, Kupcakes & Co., Vanguard Orthodontics, and Scoop & Paddle among other tenants at Clarksville Commons. The development will also host special events such as a farmers market on Thursday afternoons, outdoor movies, concerts and art shows.
Environmentally friendly features will support Clarksville Commons, including renewable energy in the form of rooftop solar panels as well as stormwater management using cisterns to capture rainwater, porous surfaces to limit runoff and native plant rain gardens. In addition, a tree-like structure supporting solar panels and a wall of living plants will stand in the courtyard.
The Northrop Team’s move into Clarksville Commons follows the team’s Montgomery County office move in 2016 from Rockville to downtown Silver Spring. The team also has offices in Annapolis, Sykesville and Lutherville-Timonium.
