The expansion of PeriShip’s direct sales efforts is intended to capitalize on the growing need for creative Last Mile Shipping Solutions for the perishable food industry.
Branford, Connecticut (PRWEB) May 26, 2017
PeriShip announced today the appointment of Curt Kole to the role of Vice President of Sales and Business Development. Mr. Kole will be responsible for the development of PeriShip’s sales strategy and management of their expanded sales representation throughout North America. In addition to securing new business opportunities and expanding PeriShip’s involvement with their key clients in the time and temperature sensitive consumables market, this new role will be responsible for the further development of PeriShip’s strategic alignment with FedEx as their exclusive provider of transportation services.
The expansion of PeriShip’s direct sales efforts is intended to capitalize on the growing need for creative Last Mile Shipping Solutions for the perishable food industry, which often require high-touch customer service, issue resolution capabilities, and customer-specific logistical arrangements. In addition to the growing demand for consistently reliable Cold Chain logistics, the considerable growth of the farm-to-table and the ready-to-eat meal market demands leading edge logistics and a comprehensive range of customer focused solutions. PeriShip continues to support commercial innovations and has successfully ushered many companies into the fresh food vertical markets that today are considered the biggest names in the meal kit and wellness products. “Logistics, packaging, and customer service play an important role in brand reputation, and that is what we share with many of the startups that come to PeriShip for help,” states Luciano Morra, Founder and Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Morra went on to state, “the PeriShip organization has extensive knowledge in Cold Chain logistics solutions and places an intense focus on managing the emotional expectations of shippers and receivers of food and perishable products. This focus, combined with our network of key operational relationships, has led to our continued growth and has improved our ability to enhance the last mile delivery experience. When we say that the only thing we spoil is the customer, we mean it!”
Morra continued, “We are excited to announce the addition of Mr. Kole to our team in a role that is very important for PeriShip’s long-term growth strategy. Curt’s thirty years of experience in transportation and logistics, including more than 17 years with FedEx Custom Critical, where he was involved in the development of their highly specialized Cold Chain suite of services and their entry into the Pharmaceutical market, will serve our business expansion efforts well. His in-depth knowledge of Cold Chain logistics and his strong leadership skills are a welcome addition to our company.”
