By coming to Ohio, we hope to let more people know that we are a great college for anyone interested in pursuing their associate’s degree and launching a career in golf.

Golf Academy of America announced today that it will host two events in the state of Ohio. The accredited college will be on the road in Akron on June 15, and in Cincinnati on June 16. The oldest and largest two-year golf college in the U.S., Golf Academy of America’s curriculum covers the business, the technology and the game of golf.

Golfers and those interested in turning golf into their career are invited to join Golf Academy of America at either of these free events. At each location, attendees will learn about Golf Academy of America and how it can help its students start on the path to success in the golf industry.

In addition, attendees will learn about the different career paths in golf and what skills are needed for success within the industry. They will also hear PGA Professionals speak about the value of having a golf-specific education.

The Akron event is scheduled for Thursday, June 15 at Firestone Country Club, 452 East Warner Road, Akron, OH, 44319. Registration opens at 6:30 p.m., followed by a putting clinic at 7 p.m. At 7:45 p.m., Golf Academy of America staff will present the educational opportunities offered by the college.

The Cincinnati event will take place on Friday, June 16 beginning at 6 p.m. at Topgolf West Chester, 9568 Water Front Drive, West Chester Township, OH, 45069. At 8 p.m., following an informational session on Golf Academy of America, contests will take place.

“Many of our best students come from Ohio, but a lot of Ohioans have never heard of our program. We’re trying to change that,” said Steve Newman, National Director of Operations at Golf Academy of America. “By coming to Ohio, we hope to let more people know that we are a great college for anyone interested in pursuing their associate’s degree and launching a career in golf."

At both events, hors d’oeuvres and soft drinks will be provided.
