TU-Automotive announces the 2017 TU-Automotive Awards winners

TU-Automotive is proud to announce the 2017 winners of the TU-Automotive Awards. Those 10 winners were selected by 30 expert judges and announced at a reception in Novi, MI today.

This year again the applications, of which we received over 400, showed a great level of success and innovation. And we would like to thank every company for taking part in this process and congratulate the very impressive winners this year

The TU-Automotive Awards covered 10 categories each showcasing a specific aspect of the connected car industry. The winners were selected by 30 top industry experts that specialise in different aspects of the industry. The 2017 TU-Automotive Awards winners were judged based on the following criteria: Innovation, Industry Engagement, User Experience and Market Update. They represent all the dynamism and future of the industry.

Gareth Ragg, managing director at TU-Automotive said: “This is always a big moment for us at TU-Automotive.   • OEM of the Year – Scania
  • Best Connected Service/Product For Commercial Market – Eyeris for Eyeris driver & occupants monitoring AI
  • Best Telematics Product/Service – HARMAN for The HARMAN Ignite Platform
  • Best Insurance Telematics Product/Service – Octo Telematics for Octo Surround
  • Best Active Safety or ADAS Product/Service – BlackBerry QNX for QNX Platform for ADAS
  • Best Auto Mobility Product/Service – Joint Winners: Local Motors (with IBM) for Olli and Qualcomm for Qualcomm Drive Data Platform
  • Best Auto Cybersecurity Product/Service – Karamba Security for Karamba Autonomous Security
  • Best Aftermarket Telematics Product/Service – Nebula Systems Ltd for MECH5.com
  • Newcomer of the year – Traffic Technology Services
  • Influencer of the year – Aarjav Trivedi, CEO, RideCell
