Vention.io, the 1st AI-enabled platform where users can design, order and assemble industrial equipment in days, is transitioning to open beta for the second phase of its user test program.

Since the beginning of the beta program late February, Vention has onboarded several hundred users from 200+ US and Canadian clients in the aerospace, automobile, industrial and research industries and has delivered 4x more industrial equipment than initially planned.

“The closed-portion of our beta program has been a great success. We have supported hundreds of clients that are seeking an easier and faster ways to design, order and assemble industrial equipment. Those close client relationships led to 150+ new software features and hardware components added to the platform over the last 3 months. Our team is now ready for open-beta with a platform suitable for experts and emerging designers in an array of industries” says founder and CEO Etienne Lacroix.

Vention’s closed-beta program was geared toward a first set of 3 market segments, including:

  • Lean manufacturing with equipment such as assembly jig, industrial carts, and machine frame
  • Product validation and research, with a variety of fixed and articulated test benches
  • Small business automation, with single and double axis machines

Over 150 software features and hardware components were added during the closed-beta program to tailor to those market segments, including:

NEW HARDWARE COMPONENTS

  • Introduction of Vention MachineMotion™, enabling the development of plug & play automated equipment through library of Control Apps available on the Vention website
  • Introduction of a new hardware components categories focused on industrial carts, including two-bar, heavy-duty caster wheels, various rest pads
  • Expansion of existing part segments, notably in tooling and fixturing as well as machine frame

NEW FEATURES IN THE 3D MACHINE BUILDER™

  • Introduction of Part Compatibility Checker™ to quickly discover various ways Vention parts can be connected to one another
  • Significant improvement in the behavior of Vention’s 3D constraints solver
  • Live-chat support across the website and contextual tool tips inside 3D Machine Builder™
  • Multi-user version management

The transition to open beta will help grow Vention’s hardware library to support a wider range of applications, notably in the field of motion and controls with the introduction of Vention Machine Motion™. In addition, a list of 50+ client-requested features will be implement to Vention’s browser-based 3D Machine Builder™ over the coming months.
