To have accurate and updated information readily available at our fingertips will allow us to better serve our school communities.

Charter School Associates, Inc. is streamlining its school operations for the families and school staff of the 12,000 students it serves. The school is transitioning to PowerSchool’s student information system (SIS) to help staff improve efficiency, family engagement, and administrative needs. The online student registration solution, PowerSchool Registration, will replace the school’s paper-based process for collecting and managing forms during annual enrollment each school year.

“We are looking forward to putting the registration process online,” stated Mike Strader, President of Charter School Associates, Inc. “With PowerSchool Registration, we will have the ability to collect and disseminate information in an efficient manner, eliminating errors that happen when entering data manually. To have accurate and updated information readily available at our fingertips will allow us to better serve our school communities.”

Using PowerSchool Registration, families who have more than one child in the school can ‘snap’ data from one student to another. SmartForm™ technology, an intuitive tool built into the solution, collects relevant data based on previously entered information or choices (grade, activities, medical history, etc.). The data submitted by families is reviewed, polished, and formatted to meet school policies and then delivered into the PowerSchool SIS, resulting in accurate and up-to-date records on the first day of school.

“In our search for a new student information system, we saw how much PowerSchool was expanding its array of solutions and services,” noted Strader. “Implementing both the SIS and registration solution allows us to streamline our processes. Additionally, the SIS will provide our school community with features we previously did not have, including the mobile app for parents to log in and monitor student progress.”

The PowerSchool solutions will be available to the school community of Charter School Associates, Inc., this August.
