Top-tier data center serves as a continuously available, disaster tolerant facility for businesses in Rocky Mountain region and across the U.S.

OneNeck IT Solutions data center in Colorado has been awarded a Management & Operations (M&O) Stamp of Approval from Uptime Institute.

Earning the M&O Stamp of Approval demonstrates leadership and provides third-party assurance that a data center satisfies industry-recognized criteria for excellence, risk management and reliability.

OneNeck IT Solutions announced today the company’s newest data center in Colorado has been awarded a Management & Operations (M&O) Stamp of Approval from Uptime Institute. Located in the Denver metro area, OneNeck’s 35,000 square foot facility (with expansion capacity to 160,000 square feet) was built to meet the growing demand businesses in Denver and throughout the Rocky Mountain region have for data storage, cloud and managed online services. The facility is also a disaster tolerant alternative for companies located throughout the United States.

“We are extremely pleased to earn the prestigious Uptime Institute’s M&O Stamp of Approval,” said Terry Swanson, president and CEO at OneNeck. “This is a thorough and important demonstration of our total dedication and commitment to our customers and the information technology of their business operations.”

As part of the M&O process, the following key areas were assessed by the Uptime Institute:

  •     Planning, coordination and management
  •     Staffing and organization
  •     Training
  •     Operating conditions
  •     Maintenance

“Securing the Uptime Institute M&O Stamp of Approval further illustrates the focus and commitment to quality and continuity of operations by our entire team,” said Hank Koch, senior vice president of Mission Critical Facilities at OneNeck. “Our customers, present and future, clearly benefit from this highest level of operational professionalism.”

Critical features within the data center include:

  •     Continuously/concurrently maintainable infrastructure – all systems (N+1 or better).
  •     Fault tolerant and compartmentalized electrical infrastructure – all systems (2N or better).
  •     Absolutely no water or water pipes in data rooms, UPS rooms or carrier rooms.
  •     Three factor physical security authentication, including iris dynamics scanners for positive human identification.
  •     Ultra-quick responding VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) fire detection system.
  •     Energy saving cooling design with a PUE of 1.2 or less.
  •     Self-balancing, redundant and flexible accommodation of energy use and thermal densities for cabinet arrangements.

“With continued demand for data across all business functions, today’s IT and data center infrastructure stakeholders are under continuous pressure to deliver value while maintaining cost and efficiency,” said Keith Klesner, senior vice president, North America for Uptime Institute. “Earning the M&O Stamp of Approval demonstrates leadership and provides third-party assurance that a data center satisfies industry-recognized criteria for excellence, risk management and reliability.”

In addition to securing the Uptime Institute M&O Stamp of Approval at its data center in Denver, the facility also meets annual compliance requirements for Type 2 SOC 1 and Type 2 SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI Data Security Standard validation, and the HIPAA and HITECH examination.
