Portland, Oregon (PRWEB) June 07, 2017 -- Chrome Data, the leading provider of vehicle merchandising solutions, images and incentives, today announced the launch of their new Model and VIN Virtual Test Drives.
Both Model and VIN Virtual Test Drives include professionally produced video content based on the vehicle’s most saleable features that can be easily integrated into the dealer’s SRP or VDP pages. The Virtual Test Drives are comprised of TV-quality running footage, mixed audio, voice-over and visual overlays to maximize engagement and get vehicles on consumers’ consideration lists.
“Not that long ago, consumers would visit four to five dealerships and test drive several vehicles as part of their vehicle evaluation experience. Today, more than half of new car shoppers test drive only one vehicle before making a purchase decision. Consumers are now demanding online virtual test drives in place of actual test drives at the dealership, and our new Virtual Test Drives effectively meet these demands,” said Craig Jennings, General Manager of Chrome Data.
The Model Test Drives showcase vehicles with compelling content and include audio scripts that provide consumers with an engaging overview of the model and how it can be personalized. Model Test drives are also mapped to Chrome style IDs which makes integration even easier for current Chrome customers who represent about 80% of the market.
The VIN Test Drives are a dynamic audio visual presentation unique to each new or used vehicle in inventory. Dealers can personalize the VIN videos with custom intros about their dealership and customer call-to-action outros. Using the Video Admin Portal, dealers can access the videos directly and include them in outbound digital marketing and email campaigns. VIN Test Drives can be syndicated to third party platforms like YouTube, Facebook and Cars.com to reach an even broader audience.
“Research shows us that 73% of vehicle shoppers indicated that video helped them narrow their options when purchasing a new vehicle, so it’s essential that dealers invest in high quality vehicle videos as part of their overall marketing strategy,” added Jennings. “Ultimately our goal for the Virtual Test Drive videos is to help dealers present an optimal online experience by bringing the virtual showroom to the customer.”
