The Landing Resort & Spa in South Lake Tahoe, California, announces its chic on-site restaurant, Jimmy’s, has received two “Best of Tahoe” honors. In its annual much-anticipated 2017 “Best of Tahoe” issue, Tahoe Quarterly has named Jimmy’s a best hotel restaurant for the area, while magazine readers ranked Jimmy’s at The Landing number one in the Fine Dining category for its fresh and creative cuisine.

A luxury Tahoe South oasis, The Landing Resort boasts numerous guest amenities – including the fine dining at Jimmy’s, honored with two 2017 “Best of Tahoe” titles.

Tahoe Quarterly praises Jimmy’s menu featuring “Hellenic goodies like …. rack of lamb with cucumber and mint relish and tzatziki.”

The Landing Resort & Spa in South Lake Tahoe, California, is no stranger to recognition for its luxurious accommodations, its appealing location with lake and mountain views and its abundance of exceptional amenities. Now Jimmy’s, The Landing’s chic on-site restaurant, has received double honors in Tahoe Quarterly’s current “Best of Tahoe” issue.

Tahoe Quarterly editors named Jimmy’s one of South Lake Tahoe’s Best Hotel Restaurants, and the nationally distributed magazine’s readers voted it the Best Fine Dining on the South Shore.

In sharing its decision, Tahoe Quarterly food writer Susan Rock praises Jimmy’s menu featuring “…Hellenic goodies like kataifi-wrapped feta with raisin oregano dressing and Greek honey and rack of lamb with cucumber mint relish and tzatziki.” She also notes that the dining room’s private spaces with fireplaces and patio with fire pits “are good spots for a Jimmy’s Greek mojito, mixed with ouzo, rum, mint, lemon and ginger, or an option from the innovative wine list….”

“We are delighted to receive ‘Best of Tahoe’ honors,” says Henri Birmele, General Manager of The Landing. “From the start, Jimmy’s has been highly regarded for its innovative menu, elegant yet cozy setting and gracious and indulgent service. But it’s always particularly gratifying to be recognized in your own community – by Tahoe Quarterly’s sophisticated readers among such a wealth of dining options.”

Since the hotel opened in 2013, Jimmy’s has been serving Greek-inspired, Mediterranean-influenced, California-centered cuisine for three meals daily, either in the comfortably sophisticated dining room, which features several private dining alcoves with individual fireplaces, or on the patio and rooftop deck, ideal for dining al fresco. The menu features modern takes on meze and classic Greek and Mediterranean dishes with a twist, such as duck liver foie gras with pickled cherries and house-made gnocchi with Spanish chorizo.

In addition to the recent recognition from Tahoe Quarterly, The Landing Resort was ranked #1 in Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards for Top Northern California Hotels in 2016. The Landing also has been the recipient of four TravelWeekly Gold Magellan Awards, as well as the Luxury Travel Guide’s Luxury Resort and Spa of the Year for 2016 and 2017, and Haute Grandeur’s Best Resort Spa – North America.
