Sierra Nevada Corporation’s (SNC) business unit nContext, an innovator in deriving strategic insights from contextual data analysis, has entered into a relationship with an SNC-affiliated company, Sightsy LLC, for a new platform leveraging nContext technology, data and marketing expertise for the travel and tourism industry.
As an example of its offering, Sightsy provides digital ticketing for tours and attractions by NYC & Company at its visitor centers. NYC & Company is the official destination marketing organization for the five boroughs of New York City with the mission of maximizing travel and tourism opportunities throughout the city, building economic prosperity, and spreading the dynamic image of the city around the world.
NYC & Company uses intellectual property developed by SNC’s nContext business unit, and provided to Sightsy, to provide the technology engine for NYC visitor centers as well as support. Sightsy’s role will also include staffing for the NYC information centers at Times Square and City Hall. The information centers provide visitors with a comprehensive suite of services including attraction passes, bus tours, guides, maps and brochures.
Driving the technology provided to Sightsy will be two of nContext’s core capabilities, Digital Community Management and Lead Generation, including analytics for fully understanding the customer journey, impact of campaigns and fine-tuning of advertising. The Sightsy platform aggregates and enables sales of all of the major tours, attractions and things to do in New York City.
SNC’s nContext business unit is providing key digital advertising services to Sightsy including digital community management and lead generation. Digital community management focuses on four key aspects: strategic planning, engagement, content optimization, and targeting and dissemination. It encompasses oversight, monitoring, engagement and management of presence on social media channels and forums. The goal is to provide analysis of topics, posts and advertisements to identify a continuous strategy for engaging customers, capturing leads and maintaining a desired reputation. Also included is content development and execution of advertisements on all digital channels and effectiveness measurement for return on investment.
Lead generation goes beyond traditional CPM data sales to carefully select targets who have taken some type of relevant action, resulting in a higher likelihood of conversion. The service leverages unique partnerships and experience with third-party data sources along with first-party data to generate high-quality leads with a propensity to purchase within a client’s buyer timeline. Key areas of emphasis include conversion growth, increased brand awareness, buying pattern detection, target audience identification and measurable metrics.
