6.28 Carat Lab-Grown Diamond Comparison

We are proud to be the leader in the lab-grown diamond industry and provide consumers with an affordable and conflict-free diamond option.

On Thursday, June 8, 2017, MiaDonna & Company was recognized as one of Portland Business Journal’s 100 Fastest-Growing Private Companies in Oregon. This is the fourth time MiaDonna has been recognized for their continued financial growth as a private organization.

Though founded in 2005, MiaDonna has since proven to be a leader in the lab-grown diamond industry and has experienced an upswing of lab-grown diamond sales over recent years. According to Research Nester, the lab-grown diamond market is one of the fastest growing across the globe valued at 16.2 billion in 2015 and expected to grow to 27.6 billion by 2023. MiaDonna’s advancements in lab-created diamond technologies and increased consumer demand have successfully contributed to this growth.

Earlier this year, Muhammad Ali's daughter, Khaliah Ali, and MiaDonna CEO, Anna-Mieke Anderson, announced a scientific breakthrough by unveiling of the Largest Laboratory-Grown-in-the-USA Diamond. The 6.28 carat, J-Color, VS2 clarity, cushion-cut diamond is a marvel of U.S. technology and is truly the eco-conscious, conflict-free and affordable option for today’s diamond consumer. An identically graded earth-mined diamond can cost upwards of $100,000, while this MiaDonna lab-grown diamond is priced at just $52,000.

“We are proud to be the leader in the lab-grown diamond industry and provide consumers with an affordable and conflict-free diamond option,” said Anna-Mieke Anderson. "The idea of companies being driven by short-term financial gains at a long-term cost to people and the planet is simply no longer acceptable. The new generation of diamond consumers support our advocacy toward an ethical and eco-friendly diamond community."

MiaDonna is a foundation-first organization that works in unison with its charity, The Greener Diamond (TGD). Earlier this week, TGD announced its latest project supporting the Center for Women’s Empowerment in Liberia. Using basic education, alternative counseling and vocational training, the Center for Women’s Empowerment will provide a safe place for women to grow and alleviate the negative impact the civil war has had on them. Graduates of the Center for Women Empowerment will be awarded a micro-credit loan and will be assigned to an advisor who will work with them to establish small businesses. Within five years, the center will directly train 1,000 women.
