Unique Conference Convenes Executives at the Intersection of Learning and Talent

Human Capital Media, publisher of Chief Learning Officer magazine and Talent Economy, is breaking new ground with 2017 Symposium+PLUS. The uniquely collaborative conference will bring both corporate learning and talent executives together to explore their mutually strategic role in attracting, retaining and developing the talent needed to compete in an innovation-driven world.

Convening in California, October 2-3, at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa, the meeting is expected to attract hundreds of senior learning and development leaders, human capital management professionals and corporate executives from around the world for lively debate and knowledge-sharing focused on The Talent Economy.

Prokopeak characterized the conference agenda as “definitely not an echo chamber that only features the voices of industry insiders.” In addition to presentations by chief learning officers, human capital management experts and talent economy influencers, the program offers “refreshing new perspectives and outsider ideas that challenge conventional thinking for these unconventional times.” Speakers lined up to keynote the two-day meeting include:

Jointly, the editorial staffs from Chief Learning Officer and Talent Economy also are putting together workshops showcasing successful initiatives and solutions, a series of narrative FASTalks from practitioners and opportunities for executives to network with corporate counterparts who understand the evolving leadership demands of the current environment. Symposium attendance is limited to active industry professionals and a select group of sponsors. Registrants can earn recertification credit hours toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification through the HR Certification Institute as well as SHRM.

Symposium+PLUS also coincides with the annual unveiling of Chief Learning Officer magazine’s Learning In Practice Awards recognizing industry leaders who have demonstrated excellence in the design and delivery of employee development programs.
