Renowned wilderness treatment center reaffirms commitment to clients and industry

Four Circles Recovery Center is proud to announce that it has finalized its purchase of 47 acres in North Carolina’s picturesque Blue Ridge Mountains where the program’s campus has been located for the past 11 years. Four Circles had previously been leasing this land.

“This development reinforces our long-term commitment to the individuals and families who turn to Four Circles in their time of need, and underscores our desire to remain a positive member of the wilderness treatment community for decades to come,” said Four Circles CEO Shane Applegate.

Four Circles is a nationally respected provider of adventure-based treatment services for young adults who have been struggling with substance abuse, chemical dependency, and certain co-occurring mental health conditions. The program serves men and women ages 18 to 28 via a dynamic combination of time-tested therapeutic techniques and cutting-edge clinical services within a supportive wilderness environment.

“One of the fundamental principles of Four Circles Recovery Center is that focused day-to-day efforts can lead to permanent improvements and long-term success,” Applegate continued. “In the same manner that we help young adults and their families to make lasting positive changes, so too have we continued to work diligently to enhance our ability to serve our clients, support our alumni, and contribute to our community. This purchase is just the next step in that ongoing effort.”

With the campus purchase now complete, Four Circles leadership will be developing plans for continued facility upgrades, expansions, and other improvements.

In addition to the land purchase, Four Circles is also pleased to announce that Clinical Director Derrick Allen, MA, LPC, LCAS, will be a featured speaker and will facilitate a workshop at the Innovations in Behavioral Healthcare Conference, which is scheduled to be held June 19-20 in Nashville, Tennessee.
