New Book Explores How Notable Christian Leaders Handled Sexuality, Romance and Marriage
Palmerston North, New Zealand (PRWEB) September 25, 2017 -- Romance and intimacy are among the highest joys in life, but a 50 percent divorce rate in America doesn’t indicate much happiness. Rob Yule believes that in the gift of sexuality, by creating us sexual beings, God has set us a stunning challenge, greater than many today seem willing to rise to. Our sexuality, he avers, is “a terrifying grace” – an ultimate test of how we live our lives.
In this wide-ranging study of the theology of sexuality, Yule examines the romantic relationships of twelve leading Christians – how they tackled and what they taught about this most fraught and fascinating aspect of human life. Through a series of vivid and engaging human-interest stories, he shows the astonishingly varied ways in which these well-known people negotiated the complicated circumstances and challenges of their intimate relationships.
Yule’s approach breathes life into classic Biblical teachings on love, sex and marriage, and shows what we may be missing in the shallow experimentation of today’s sexualized popular culture.
