“Once Upon A Lost Girl”: a personal story of overcoming a childhood of great losses, abandonment, molestation, rape, and abuse in every sense of the word. “Once Upon A Lost Girl” is the creation of published author, D.L. Castle. D.L. Castle was born and raised in a small city in the province of New Brunswick, Canada. Her mother instilled a strong faith in her by sharing the stories of God and teaching her to say her prayers every night before bedtime. When she was a little girl, she loved to hear “Once upon a time” stories and believed in happy endings. Amid hardship, she eventually moved to another small city in the province of Ontario with her two small children. Despite everything that was happening around her, she held onto her relationship with God and her love of poetry and writing. One of her dreams was to write a book about her life and how she managed to push through her tough times, so she could help someone else get to the other side with faith, trust, and hope. Ultimately, she believes that her story turned out to be amazing, because of her faith in God.
“Oh, and one last thing, I know this story to be true because the author is that little girl. Yes, I am that little girl and I share my story with you in the hope that I can help others find their way to a life filled with faith, hope and love through the ways that I found myself. Without my faith in God, I truly believe I would still be that lost little girl of twelve. God bless you all for reading my story.” --D.L. Castle
