Piattelli Vineyards' Principal Winemaker Visits U.S. Market in September
(PRWEB) September 22, 2017 -- Piattelli Vineyards' Principal Winemaker, Valeria Antolin, has been with Piattelli since the beginning. Born in Mendoza, Valeria comes from a family of Winemakers. It was no surprise to Valeria's father, a renowned sparkling wine producer himself, that she wanted to study agronomy and wine making. Antolin made her first wine with her father when she was only fifteen years old.
"My father was a well-known winemaker in his day, but so was my uncle, while my Italian grandfather made his own wine. There has always been a bottle of wine on the family table. Today that bottle is Piattelli."
Antolin has been significant in the development of the Piattelli brand since 2003. She climbed her way to becoming the head winemaker for both Mendoza and Cafayate wineries. Piattelli is known for producing affordable, high-quality wines.
Valeria's last visit to the United States was back in 2014. She will be visiting the US again towards the end of this month attending various events across the states, such as participating in a winemaker luncheon in Denver, Colorado with RNDC, then market visits with Southern Glazers in Arizona and continuing more market events in New Jersey and New York. She will then end her trip in Miami, attending one last market visit with Breakthru Beverage and The JamesSuckling.com Great Wines of the Andes Event on Friday, September 29th.
