The South Korean indie hit Mandrake Boys has just launched globally on both iOS and AOS. First launched in July 2014, the game has received domestic applause as a casual simulation game and has been named a successful pioneer of the subgenre in South Korea. Publisher Supertree hopes it will receive similar, if not higher, accolades worldwide.
Grow 'em up
In Mandrake Boys, the gameplay is fairly simple; plant and grow mandrakes in the garden. When users grow a certain amount of a mandrake, there’s a chance to get the special rare mandrake. There are over 100 mandrakes, and each of these mandrakes has their own personality and stories that can be unlocked, plus colorful and beautiful illustrations.
Through this global launch, Mandrake Boys players are now able to compete globally in the leaderboard. Users can add more friends and get watering cans from here by sending them to friends who will send one back to.
