InHealth Media is pleased to announce the addition of Shaun Cox, who will lead the company’s communications and public relations efforts as its Director of Communications.

In addition to providing support, Cox will perform journalistic and public relations work such as editing and updating publications and company websites, content and news writing, and gathering, writing and disseminating company materials for release to newspapers, broadcast media and the general public.

Founder and CEO Mitch Gould says the addition of Cox to the InHealth Media (IHM) team will help the company and its clients achieve better brand awareness.

“Adding Shaun is a great step forward as IHM continues to expand its success in the health and wellness industry,” Gould said. “Here at IHM, we understand the challenges manufacturers face today in the competitive retail environment.”

Cox has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Kentucky, in his hometown of Lexington, Ky. Upon graduation in 2006, he went on to work as a sports editor, reporter, designer and photographer for newspapers in Kentucky, Virginia and Alaska. He then spent six years at two major-metro dailies; first at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, before transferring to the Palm Beach Post in 2012.

In more than a decade as a journalist, Cox has interviewed everyone from famous musicians and politicians to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Pro Football Hall of Famers Art Monk and Darrell Green, two-time NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer and World Series champion Phillies manager Charlie Manuel.

“Obviously, I’m excited to begin a new career and take on another challenge,” Cox said. “I’m an old-school journalism guy at heart. I know my past experience and newsroom versatility makes me a great fit with InHealth Media. Connecting with people has always come naturally to me, and that will be of great benefit in helping serve our clients’ needs.”
