Japan-Based Shared Calendar App “TimeTree” Reached 5 Million Users, Launched a New Version and Plans to Build a Platform
Tokyo, Japan (PRWEB) September 05, 2017 -- TimeTree, which launched in 2015, is a shared calendar service for iOS, Android and desktop designed for small groups such as families, co-workers, couples and clubs. As of July 2017, TimeTree can now boast 5 million registered users and Apple’s “App Store Best of 2015 award." The service is growing rapidly in Japan and around the world.
Key Features:
・To share a calendar, simply send an invitation URL.
・Multiple calendars are available for family, work, friends, etc.
・A communication area for every scheduled event
A New Feature - Sharing an Event
Although users had to share the whole calendar to share events, they can also let people know about a single event. Users can choose how they share the event. This is convenient for sharing a single event such as a party. Event hosts can just share and say "See the event page" they prepared.
A New Platform
TimeTree plans to open their features to publishers and companies so that its service can be used to create public events (such as sales, seminars, new releases, etc.) and share them easily. This can help app users by sending them reminders of public events they are interested in through the calendar.
Platform Features
1: Publishing Events - Publishing Calendars (provisional)
This allows publishers and companies to publish information on the TimeTree app and web platform. They can also send alerts with updated information to remind users of an upcoming event they are interested in.
2: TimeTree APIs (provisional)
APIs let users easily add an event from their favorite website through the TimeTree button.
These features will help users discover content and easily remember information through the calendar, which will also be able to convert information into action without forgetting events.
We’re working on building a platform to help users not only share a schedule but also choose “appropriate timing”. This new release lays out our first steps towards developing a platform.
