SkyStem Founder, Shagun Malhotra, Gives Back to NYC Entrepreneurs

Since being awarded the 1st runner up prize in the 2011 competition, Malhotra has been activity involved in the StartUP! program. Her skills and experience in establishing her technology venture, SkyStem, have made her a valued addition to the panel, not only as a judge but also a mentor.
“I truly love working with future entrepreneurs and inspiring them to pursue their passions. There have been countless individuals who have helped me along the way, so being a part of this competition is my way of paying it forward,” said Malhotra. “It’s refreshing to see all of the innovative ideas and business plans that are being generated here in the city,” she continued.
2017 marks the 8th annual competition hosted by The New York Public Library in conjunction with its sponsor, Citi Foundation. Each year, New York-based startup entrepreneurs are invited to participate in educational workshops and pitch their business ideas for a chance to win up to $15,000 to fund their business ventures.
