Baker College Introduces New “BakerProud” Brand Identity
Flint, Mich. (PRWEB) August 30, 2017 -- Baker College – Michigan’s largest independent not-for-profit college with 12 campus and extension sites across the state and online degrees accessible worldwide – has unveiled its new “BakerProud” brand identity , a refreshed personality for the college, including a new logo, tagline, visual identity system and brand statement.
Images of Baker College’s new brand identity, and supporting brand statement, which are in use now, can be found here. Additionally, in August 2017, Baker College will unveil a newly redesigned website at Baker.edu, and over the next year, will expand the College’s social media presence, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
“BakerProud is so much more than a brand…it’s a state of mind,” said Dr. Bart Daig, Baker College system president. “BakerProud represents quality academics, accessibility, flexibility, value and student success. Baker College serves as a way forward for tens of thousands of students every year…we decided it’s time to let the world know how proud we are of what’s going on at Baker.”
In addition to students and programs winning top-level competitions and earning industry recognition in curriculums such as culinary arts and cyber defense, in 2017, Baker College graduated more than 4,700 undergraduate and graduate students across its newly streamlined 100 degree programs.
“From the beginning more than 100 years ago, Baker College has been about taking students’ passion and combining it with the preparation required to achieve career success,” said Daig. “By restructuring our number and types of degrees, we can better focus our students’ pursuits and better prepare them for today’s professional landscape.”
Also part of the Baker College evolution is its transition from quarters to a semester-based school calendar, starting in fall 2017. The switch is designed to ease logistics for transfer students, as well as to better align the Baker calendar with area high school schedules and more traditional summer and holiday breaks, offering a variety of advantages for current and incoming students.
“BakerProud represents a legion of more than 2,000 faculty, 1,100 staff, 17,000 students and hundreds of thousands of Baker College alumni,” said Daig. “We have more than 100 years of higher education experience behind us, and are finding new and better ways forward everyday…we are excited to introduce these changes and have a revitalized image that communicates all that Baker College has to offer.”
