Piattelli Scores Big With New Ratings from JamesSuckling.com
(PRWEB) September 20, 2017 -- Piattelli Vineyards is thrilled to receive the following 90+ point ratings from JamesSuckling.com. The new ratings are as follows:
- 92 points - Reserve Torrontés Cafayate - 2016 Vintage
This is a real Torrontés with wonderful density and richness that shows plenty of dried-lemon, grapefruit, and apple character. Layered and delicious. Comes from vineyards at 6,000 ft. Drink now.
- 92 points - Grand Reserve Malbec Cafayate - 2015 Vintage
This shows density and balance with lots of blackberries, licorice, and tar. Full-bodied, tight, and flavorful. Lots of fruit and richness yet it is always fresh and lively. Better in 2019 but already beautiful.
- 92 points - Arlene Series - 2013 Vintage
I appreciate the contrast of dense and thick fruit with fresh and bright acidity and tannins. Full, chewy, and polished. Need two or three years to soften. 91% Malbec, 7% Cab Sauv, and 2% Cab Franc. Try in 2019.
- 91 points - Reserve Malbec Cafayate - 2016 Vintage
Big and chewy Malbec from Salta with lots of dark fruit and licorice and salt undertones. Full-bodied, flavorful, and rich. Tar aftertaste with walnuts. Drink Now.
