Yamaha Drums Welcomes Jamie Miller of Bad Religion to the Company’s Legendary Artist Roster
BUENA PARK, Calif. (PRWEB) August 31, 2017 -- Yamaha Drums announced today the signing of Jamie Miller of leading punk rock band Bad Religion to the Yamaha Artist roster. Jamie is best known for drumming with punk acts Snot and ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead before joining Bad Religion in 2015.
Jamie’s kit of choice is the Yamaha Absolute Hybrid Maple with Red Autumn finish, which delivers a sound with great strength and depth. It provides for rich expression, perfect for the band’s powerful sound. His snare of choice is the Yamaha 14” x 5.5” Recording Custom Stainless Steel (RLS1455) snare.
Jamie was raised in a household of musicians, first drumming with his family at the age of three. He progressed quickly as he studied the drumming styles of Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, Ringo Starr and many more. “I’m a big fan of simple, yet expressive drumming. I love taking the drums for a super technical whirl as much as the next progster, but in a more pop or rock context,” Jamie said.
Of all of the Southern California hardcore punk bands of the early ’80s, Bad Religion has shown the most staying power. After a decade of underground notoriety, the band refined its attack with influences of psychedelia, heavy metal and hard rock, as well as a considerable dose of melody. Between their debut in 1982 and their first major-label record, 1993’s “Recipe of Hate”, Bad Religion stayed popular among the hardcore community. Since then, the band has been touring worldwide and has released an additional nine studio albums, along with two live albums and four compilations; they have become one of the best-selling punk rock acts of all time.
