2017 Kriya Yoga Conference in Rochester, NY
Rochester, NY (PRWEB) September 16, 2017 -- For the first time ever in Western NY, experts in spirituality, prayer, and neuroscience will share a stage to present the combined benefits of spiritual practices and meditation! From Friday, October 13th to Sunday October 15th, The Assisi Institute of Rochester, NY will present its inaugural Kriya Yoga Conference.
Noted spiritual teacher and developer of Centering Prayer Father William Meninger, O.C.S.O., will discuss contemplation, The Cloud of Unknowing, and the Bhagavad Gita. Craig Bullock, the spiritual director of The Assisi Institute, will explain the philosophy and practices of the Kriya Yoga tradition. Dr. Sat Bir Sing Khalsa of Harvard Medical School will share the effects of meditation on the brain. Well-known musician and humanitarian Swami Nirvanananda Saraswati will speak on the Kriya Lifestyle and also present uplifting spiritual music.
The conference will be held the Rochester Academy of Medicine. The cost for the weekend, which includes delicious vegetarian food and refreshments, is $195.00 per person. A block of rooms for out of town attendees is reserved at the Country Inn & Suites by Carlson at 2835 Monroe Avenue.
