Prometheus Real Estate Group, the largest private owner of multifamily properties in the San Francisco Bay Area, is proud to announce that it has raised $146,063 for its 2017 regional and brand-wide nonprofit partners. This work was done through POrCH (the Promethean Outreach and Community Help program), Prometheus’s volunteer and giving initiative, helping the company’s employees and residents make a difference in the world in which they live, work and play.
Prometheus annually adopts not-for-profit organizations, providing them with both donations and volunteers. This year’s nonprofit partners, selected by Prometheus employees in each of its regions, are:
- Oregon Food Bank, which operates in Portland, Oregon. The organization collects food from farmers, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, individuals and government sources and distributes to a statewide network. Oregon Food Bank received a donation of $32,963, which will provide 100,000 meals for the community.
- Outdoors for All, which operates in Seattle, Washington. The organization delivers adaptive and therapeutic recreation for children and adults with disabilities. Outdoors for All received a donation of $34,886, which will be used to expand their summer day camps, welcoming more children and adults into their programming.
- Loaves & Fishes Family Kitchen, which operates in the San Francisco Bay Area’s South Bay. The organization is dedicated to fighting hunger and helps feed 200,000 individuals annually. Loaves & Fishes received a $40,274 donation, which covers 16,000 hot meals for those in need.
- JW House, which operates in Santa Clara, California. The organization provides a warm, comfortable “home away from home” for families facing medical crises. JW House received a donation of $37,940, which will cover 100 nights of full stays for families.
“It is gratifying to see the dedication of our teams on behalf of these amazing non-profit partners,” said Prometheus President Jackie Safier.
