New Century Chamber Orchestra Announces 2017-2018 Season at Osher Marin JCC
San Rafael, CA (PRWEB) September 05, 2017 -- New Century Chamber Orchestra announces its 2017-2018 season and welcomes British violinist Daniel Hope as Artistic Partner.
For the first of four performances this season, New Century welcomes British violinist Daniel Hope for his first appearances as Artistic Partner, leading the orchestra in a program of works by Tchaikovsky and Mendelssohn and performing as the soloist for a World Premiere co-commissioned violin concerto by Alan Fletcher.
This season will also bring a time change for these concerts, offering a perfect Sunday afternoon of chamber music beginning at 3 p.m. with the opportunity to sip wine at a candlelit cabaret table while taking in the talents from one of the very few conductorless ensembles in the world. This 19-member string ensemble includes San Francisco Bay Area musicians and those who travel from across the U.S. and Europe to perform together.
The Osher Marin JCC is thrilled to welcome back New Century Chamber Orchestra for their 26th season, and 26th year of presenting in the grand Hoytt Theater at the Osher Marin JCC as a part of the Kanbar Center for the Performing Arts 26th Season.
