Atlanta Hosts 12th Annual Southeast Yoga Conference at Westin Peachtree Plaza September 8-10, 2017
(PRWEB) September 07, 2017 -- The 12th annual Southeast Yoga Conference (SEYC) invites all to exhale when it opens in Atlanta this Friday, September 8th at the Westin Peachtree Plaza in Midtown. The conference runs until Sunday, September 10, 2017. For the first time, the conference will offer free community events to celebrate health and wellness as a way to come together to share, celebrate, and learn, grow, and breathe!
FREE EVENTS AND SATURDAY NIGHT EVENT
This year's Southeast Yoga Conference will feature several free events, including a complimentary Community Class and Community Meditation each morning of the conference from 8-8:45am and 8:45-9am, respectively, and a Lunch and Learn on Saturday from 12:15-1:15pm. These free events are open to the entire yoga community, whether or not attending other SEYC events.
Another great offering is the Restorative Yoga with Crystal Bowls on Saturday night, September 9th from 7-8pm. Join Gretchen Griffin and Jennifer Proctor for a soul-soothing restorative yoga practice infused with crystal bowl healing to cultivate surrender and openness in the body. After the class, enjoy complimentary wine, chocolate, and kombucha as you float back down to earth. Although the Saturday Night Event is free, donations ($20 suggested) will be accepted to benefit Centering Youth, an Atlanta-based non-profit that provides yoga and mindfulness classes to young people in the juvenile justice system.
Noted instructors from various Yoga practices including Bibi McGill, Jessica Jollie, Mike Fecht, and Rocky Heron, just to name a few, will offer a host of workshops, classes, demos and other events throughout the weekend. In addition, vendors will sell a variety of Yoga-related clothing and items in the marketplace.
