Resource One Credit Union Delivered Stuffed Animals to Local Hospital
Dallas, TX (PRWEB) September 05, 2017 -- Resource One Credit Union participated and hosted the Credit Unions Care initiative, CU Ride, on August 24, 2017. The CU Ride is a caravan of motorcycle riders and vehicles that deliver stuffed animals to local children’s hospitals in Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Texas. Cornerstone Credit Union League, Resource One Credit Union, and other local credit unions joined in the Dallas CU Ride that delivered over 850 stuffed animals to Children’s Medical Center of Dallas.
“Personally, I was blown away by how much Children’s Hospital does to ensure a kid still gets to be a kid even when they are dealing with some pretty grown up issues. Handing out the teddy bears and seeing a kid’s face light up is proof that it’s the little things in life that matter,” stated Doug Bedner, Resource One Credit Union’s Interim CEO.
In addition to the stuffed animals, Resource One Credit Union provided the characters Ironman and Belle from Beauty and the Beast to ride in the CU Ride, help hand out toys, and entertain the children at the hospital.
Dudsi Tharp, Resource One Credit Union’s Operations Manager, said, “I am proud to work for an organization that cares about the community and especially the children at these hospitals.”
The CU Ride was escorted from Resource One Credit Union’s Training Facility through downtown Dallas to Children’s Medical Center by the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department.
