Machael David is a US citizen who was born in Nigeria. He grew up playing soccer as a way to cope with poverty and avoid gang life. “Every Mother's Nightmare: The Journey and Struggles of a Boy from Africa to America” shares a heartfelt message from a young man who grew up poor, but fought his way to the United States where he found God and his true calling. When his dream of becoming a professional soccer player was cut short by injury, he retreated to a dark corner where he struggled with depression and sex addiction.

At a very young age, he saw his mother and siblings beaten almost daily. Afraid of his abusive father, he took to the streets. Molested by his coach, he had no one to trust. He never knew what he meant to be a man. At fourteen, he took his question to a prostitute, who planted the seed of sexual addiction in him.
