“Bundled payments continue to provide hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers with a competitive advantage, helping to capture profitable commercially insured surgical patients,” says Nancy Berlin, Program Manager.
Rockville, MD (PRWEB) September 06, 2017
After a successful first run, OR Manager is launching its second Bundled Payments Bootcamp in Dallas, TX on October 23, 2017 geared towards educating perioperative leaders as well as vendors, suppliers and consultants on the current state of value-based care.
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently proposed cancelling mandatory programs for care coordination for certain episode payments and for cardiac rehabilitation. Yet bundled payment programs have led to better patient outcomes and a positive bottom line at many facilities, so most providers are expected to continue using them on a voluntary basis.
Knowing how to implement a successful bundled payment program is an important component of providing value-based care. This workshop will feature clinicians and business leaders who have leveraged such programs at their facilities. They will share their knowledge in sessions such as:
- How Bundled Payments Will Change the Reimbursement Landscape
- Key Components of Medicare’s Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement (CJR) Plan
- NEW: Payer Perspectives – Think Like a Payer to Build a Bundled Payment Program
- Gathering the Right Data for Bundled Payments
- Strategies for Cost Control and Collaboration
- CASE STUDIES: Recommended Practices to Maximize Reimbursement
“Bundled payments continue to provide hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers with a competitive advantage, helping to capture profitable commercially insured surgical patients,” says Nancy Berlin, Program Manager. “We knew there was a need for more education on this evolving topic.”
