“I am excited to be speaking at the Academy of Oncology Nurse & Patient Navigators (AONN+) conference and meeting the dedicated navigators whose work is so vital in cancer care,” says Reeve.

Will Reeve will be the Keynote Speaker at the Academy of Oncology Nurse & Patient Navigators (AONN+) Annual Conference in Orlando this November. Bringing his message of “Lessons in Love, Loyalty, Courage, & Perseverance,” Will is going to share with the audience the invaluable lessons he learned from his parents, Christopher and Dana Reeve.

Will has a unique story to tell. At an early age, Will witnessed both of his parents’ severe health issues. Will’s father, Christopher, a renowned actor, suffered a spinal cord injury while horseback riding. Will’s mother, Dana, battled lung cancer. Will observed his mother’s enduring commitment to his father and how his father inspired others suffering from spinal cord injuries. Together, his parents began a foundation dedicated to helping to fund research and improve the quality of life for those with such injuries. Today, Will is a patient advocate and has been working tirelessly to uphold his parents’ legacies as an Ambassador and Board Member for the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.

“As someone who has seen firsthand the important work of oncology medical providers, I am excited to be speaking at the Academy of Oncology Nurse & Patient Navigators (AONN+) conference and meeting the dedicated navigator community whose work in cancer care is so vital,” says Reeve.

Academy of Oncology Nurse & Patient Navigators (AONN+) Annual Conference
AONN+ hosts the annual conference for oncology nurse and patient navigators. These essential providers are on the front lines of oncology patient care and play a vital role in helping patients understand their treatments, answering questions about appointments with their oncologists, navigating medical insurance and other socioeconomic barriers, and many other aspects of patient care. This unique meeting brings together oncology stakeholders to attend educational sessions, network with peers, participate in navigation-specific certification exams, and learn about the standardized navigation metrics initiative.
