DATIS HR Cloud, Inc., released the results of their 2017 Executive Priorities Survey, which uncovered the challenges and obstacles Health and Human Services executives faced when tackling their industry’s top trends, including Recruiting & Retention, Employee Engagement & Satisfaction, and the Drive Towards Digital.

Results from the nationwide survey of over 400 industry executives, whose titles range from CEOs to HR Directors, revealed numerous opportunities and challenges within their organizations, and identified flawed processes throughout departments.

Key findings include:

  • Only 16% of executives in the Health and Human Services industry believe their organization is adequately staffed.
  • 47% of Health and Human Services organizations are currently hiring for 10 or more positions.
  • 93% of Health and Human Services organizations are still using manual processes.

This report reveals that many executives feel the pressure to grow their workforce to meet the recent increase in demand for their organizations’ services. However, the report also suggests that Health and Human Services organizations are still behind the curve in regards to adopting digital strategies.

DATIS Methodology

DATIS surveyed over 400 U.S adults employed full-time at Health and Human Services organizations. The majority of respondents worked in organizations with 200-1000 employees. Over half of the survey respondents were either CEOs or HR professionals. The report compiled results from a survey distributed online and through an e-mail invitation. Respondents received a $5 Amazon gift card for their participation.
