Carolyn Kissinger’s New Book “The Life And Times Of A Marine” Is An Inspiring Account On Reminiscing The Eventful Life Experiences Of A Marine As Told By His Loving Wife
(PRWEB) September 13, 2017 -- Carolyn Kissinger, a loving wife and mother, has completed her new book “The Life and Times of a Marine”: a touching story of love as the author details the life of her husband — from childhood to the present, his struggles, and paths taken that defined him as how he came to be known.
Author Kissinger illustrates the thrill of being daring and carefree, common traits that young adults possess, all while learning from naïve decisions: “One day Harry and a friend were drinking. They decided to drive down to Atlantic City, New Jersey. He got to the Atlantic City expressway, and some guy was hitchhiking. He was carrying a quart of beer, so they gave him a lift. Not knowing, he offered them a drink. Harry didn’t take any. The guy must have had drugs in it too. By the time they got down there, his friend was wasted. On the way down, Harry was half drunk speeding. Every time he got up over a lock, the first latch on the hood would pop open and would have to stop. They even tried putting cardboard in it, slamming it down. Then they tied it down with a rope. His friend wore a hairpiece, and he took it off and threw it on the beach. A few hours later, he was looking all over the sand for it. So Harry ended up taking him back to Reading, Pennsylvania. He never got the hood fixed.”
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Carolyn Kissinger’s heartening tale of a remarkable man shows that not even a declining of the mental state can impede in reliving the simple pleasures of youth.
