FOLSOM, CA. AND ROANOKE, VA. (PRWEB) September 08, 2017 -- PowerSchool, the leading provider of K-12 education technology solutions, has announced it will move its current Roanoke, Virginia office to larger quarters in the Norfolk Southern Railroad Building. PowerSchool is investing $1.8 million to relocate to the 38,000-square-foot facility with plans to create approximately 100 new jobs in the city of Roanoke.

“The conception, development, and implementation of PowerSchool Assessment and Analytics started in Roanoke and is an important part of PowerSchool’s story,” stated Hardeep Gulati, PowerSchool’s CEO. “We made a commitment to stay, create more opportunities, and support the community. As we continue to further our mission of improving the K-12 education experience by providing teachers, schools, and families with innovative and easy-to-use software solutions, the PowerSchool team in Roanoke is essential to attaining that success.”
PowerSchool Assessment is now part of PowerSchool’s Unified Classroom, an industry-first, award-winning platform that eliminates technology silos and empowers teachers by combining PowerSchool’s student information system, assessment, learning, and gradebook solutions into a single, unified software solution.
“PowerSchool would like to thank Governor McAuliffe, Mayor Lea, Senator John Edwards, and other local leaders for believing in PowerSchool’s vision and supporting the company’s mission to expand its workforce in Roanoke, Virginia as we continue to provide best-in-class solutions to school districts around the world,” said Mark Oldemeyer, PowerSchool’s CFO, who represented PowerSchool at the announcement of the new location.
