Walnut Creek Marriott Unveils Expansive $14 Million Renovation
Walnut Creek, Calif. (PRWEB) September 11, 2017 -- The Walnut Creek Marriott, in the heart of Northern California’s East Bay, recently completed a dramatic multi-year, $14 million renovation that infuses the hotel with modern design and upgrades.
The upgraded experience begins when guests arrive at the hotel, conveniently located near the area’s top attractions including Napa Valley and San Francisco. An updated drive leads them directly to valet attendants, who also provide complete bell service. As guests enter the property, they walk through the signature Marriott Great Room. The warm and inviting entry leads to the front desk for check in, or to the lounge and lobby bar, where they are welcomed with local wine and cheese served Monday through Thursday between 5-7 p.m. Guest arriving on Friday and Saturday nights will enjoy live Jazz from 6-9 p.m.
“After working on this renovation for two years, we are eager to now share the experience with our guests,” said Eddie Adair, General Manager of the Walnut Creek Marriott, which is owned and managed by WCG Hotels. “No aspect of the hotel was left untouched as we upgraded and updated to provide a sleek, modern property with best-in-class services.”
Guest Rooms
The hotel’s 342 guest rooms were completely redone in a loft-style update that included the installation of designer plank flooring, lighting, furniture and soft goods to create a comfortable, sound-proofed space to rest and relax. Each room features a 49-inch LG flatscreen TV equipped with Enseo technology to access apps like Netflix and YouTube.
Platinum, Gold and Silver Marriott Rewards Members can enjoy an exclusive Concierge Lounge with breakfast and dinner service. The Lounge is outfitted with flatscreen TVs and convenient business terminals.
Dining
The hotel’s A’Trio restaurant has been transformed into a Baja California fusion concept, overseen by Executive Chef Francisco Serrano. This September, Chef Serrano will be hosting weekly cooking demonstrations in the hotel’s lobby.
“We’ve aligned our dining options to better serve the on-the-go lifestyles of our guests,” explained Adair. “We offer quick dining options, which can be ordered days or hours in advance, to be delivered to a guest’s room or picked up as they head out for the day.”
New packaging for the quick service meals is biodegradable and keeps food at the optimal temperature.
Meeting Space
The Walnut Creek Marriott offers more than 19,700 square feet of meeting space to accommodate up to 500 meeting attendees in 13 meeting rooms and 19 breakout spaces. State-of-the art technology upgrades include a new, lightning-fast wifi service (600 mbps) throughout the property.
