ATLANTA (PRWEB) September 07, 2017 -- Heather Prill, Senior Manager, National Partnerships at The Home Depot Foundation (bottom center) receives the Operation Homefront Cornerstone Award from John Pray, President and CEO, Operation Homefront (top center) for her contributions to the national nonprofit’s mission to build strong, stable, and secure military families. “Under Heather Prill’s active leadership, our relationship with The Home Depot Foundation has grown into a model collaboration that makes a real difference in the lives of our military families," said Brig. Gen. (ret.) John I. Pray Jr., President and CEO of Operation Homefront. “Since 2011, the amazing THDF team has made it possible for us to support 640 applications for home repairs and essential home items totaling over $5.3 million dollars in assistance. Heather can take great pride in knowing she has not only made homes better for those who have made our nation better, but helped them thrive in the communities they have worked so hard to protect.”
“I am truly honored to be a part of the incredible work that Operation Homefront is doing with veterans. When The Home Depot Foundation launched our veterans’ initiative six years ago, we knew we wanted to work with the best of the best so Operation Homefront has been with us since the beginning,” said Heather Prill, Senior Manager, National Partnerships at The Home Depot Foundation. “We are committed to working with Operation Homefront to ensure veterans have a safe place to call home in communities across the country.”
Founded in 2002, Operation Homefront is a national nonprofit organization whose mission is to build strong, stable, and secure military families so that they can thrive – not simply struggle to get by – in the communities they have worked so hard to protect. Recognized for superior performance by leading independent charity oversight groups, 92 percent of Operation Homefront expenditures go directly to programs that support tens of thousands of military families each year. Operation Homefront provides critical financial assistance, transitional and permanent housing and family support services to prevent short-term needs from turning into chronic, long-term struggles. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and the support from thousands of volunteers, Operation Homefront proudly serves America’s military families.
