On Thursday, September 28th, 2017, Trident University International (Trident) will be hosting its first in-person Career & Alumni Fair. This event is scheduled to take place at American Legion Post 176 in Springfield, VA from 10am to 2pm.

Confirmed employers attending Trident’s Career & Alumni Fair include the National Institutes of Health, Department of Veteran Affairs, Navy Federal Credit Union, Maines Paper & Food Service, and First Command.

Representing Trident at this event will be Kendra Temple, Director of Alumni Engagement, and Emanuel “Manny” Sepulveda, Manager of the Center for Career Planning and Workforce Strategies.

“Our first in-person Career & Alumni Fair will be an exciting opportunity for Trident students, alumni, and local military personnel to meet employers,” said Manny Sepulveda.

Trident’s Career & Alumni Fair is open to all local active duty, National Guard, and Reserve military personnel, veterans, and their families. Professional dress or military uniform is required, and attendees should bring multiple copies of their resume. Trident staff will be on hand to answer career and education-related questions, review resumes, and to provide advice about career development.

“This Career Fair is a way for Trident to meet the needs of our students and alumni, while also helping employers looking for qualified candidates with strong critical thinking skills,” stated Kendra Temple.

Located just 14 miles outside of Washington, DC, Springfield was chosen due to its proximity to centers of federal employment and numerous military installations. Active duty military, veterans, National Guard, and military dependents make up 79% of Trident’s student population and more than 22,000 of the University’s alumni have a military affiliation. Trident has approximately 2,000 students and alumni in the DC area.

American Legion Post 176 is located at 6520 Amherst Avenue in Springfield, VA. It is easily accessible from I-95 and I-495, as well as the Metro’s Franconia-Springfield station. Job seekers and employers who are interested in attending this event are encouraged to reach out to Manny Sepulveda at trident4careers@trident.edu, while alumni can reach Kendra Temple at alumni@trident.edu.
