Financial Poise™ Webinars announces a new webinar series, “INSIDE COUNSEL INSIDER: CORPORATE & REGULATORY COMPLIANCE-PART 2," designed to introduce attorneys and business owners to the basics of a company's compliance practices. The first episode of the series is "Procurement & Government Contracting Compliance," airing on September 18th at 2pm CST, and is moderated by Kate Harmon of Elliott Greenleaf with panelists from firms including ROIG Lawyers and Genovese Joblove & Battista.

State and federal regulatory compliance can be tough to navigate and the process can make even routine sales and marketing practices vulnerable to civil and criminal liability.

The INSIDE COUNSEL INSIDER: CORPORATE & REGULATORY COMPLIANCE - PART 2 webinar series covers corporate and regulatory compliance as it relates to procurement and government contracting, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, data privacy and social media. The various episodes examine these topics from a company’s perspective, delving into compliance issues that pertain to specific company practices across industries and borders and impact companies of all sizes and types.

The first episode of the series, Procurement & Government Contracting Compliance, airs on Monday, September 18th at 2pm CST (Register Here) and features Moderator Kate Harmon of Elliott Greenleaf. She is joined by Alfred Gonzalez of Genovese Joblove & Battista, Jarad Handelman of Elliott Greenleaf and Nelson Bellido of ROIG Lawyers.

The volume and complexity of transactions related to procurement are some of the reasons that transactions with the government are most vulnerable to corruption. State and federal regulatory compliance can be tough to navigate and the process can make even routine sales and marketing practices vulnerable to civil and criminal liability. This webinar analyzes the regulatory framework, including identification of some of the legal risks in solicitations, pre- and post-award bid protests, contract compliance, change orders, and contract claims and disputes. The webinar also discusses defense strategies of a company that is accused of fraud or civil non-compliance.

Future episodes in the series, sponsored by EisnerAmper LLC, will include "Foreign Corrupt Practices Act Compliance," airing on October 16 and "Data Privacy & Social Media Compliance," airing on November 13 through West LegalEdcenter.

Each episode is delivered in Plain English understandable to business owners and executives without much background in these areas. Yet, each episode is proven to be valuable to seasoned professionals. As with all Financial Poise Webinars, each episode in the series brings you into engaging, sometimes humorous, conversations designed to entertain as it teaches. And, as with all Financial Poise Webinars, each episode in the series is designed to be viewed independently of the other episodes, so that participants will enhance their knowledge of this area whether they attend one, some, or all of the episodes.
