N2W Software’s CPM Free Edition gives users access to an enterprise-class solution purpose-built for AWS that provides operational backup, recovery, and DR. It enables users to automate backup processes and protect AWS workloads from data loss or outages. It has an easy-to-use interface for scheduling backups and restoring entire instances, and provides users with in-depth reporting, alerting, auditing, and dashboard functions.
CPM Free Edition provides agentless backups of full production workloads on AWS by leveraging and enhancing native AWS snapshot capabilities. It supports backup and recovery operations on up-to five Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) instances. By selecting a recovery point, CPM Free Edition users can restore an entire instance to a working state in under one minute. Using CPM file-level recovery, users can also retrieve previous versions of individual files and folders without needing to do a full instance or volume restore. CPM Free Edition can also be configured to provide disaster recovery for AWS workloads by copying critical snapshots from one AWS region to another.
For users that have a requirement to operate staging environments on AWS, CPM Free Edition can take snapshots of fully configured AMIs that can be stored in CPM and stood up with a single click as and when required. This powerful functionality removes the need for staging environments to be run all the time and is paid for on an ongoing basis.
