McLean, VA (PRWEB) September 12, 2017 -- On the heels of announcing a majority investment from private equity firm Bridge Growth Partners, BackOffice Associates today celebrated its mid-year achievements for 2017. Among its accomplishments, the information governance and data stewardship leader continued a robust growth trajectory—achieving its strongest software sales globally in the second quarter of 2017 and surpassing 800 employees for the first time in the company’s history. Also, with the launch of dspCloud, which enables access to all solutions offered in the Data Stewardship Platform (DSP) suite via a SaaS delivery model, Global 2000 organizations are increasingly implementing BackOffice Associates’ solutions to address critical data quality and governance challenges.
“As organizations are demanding solutions that support their data transformation and data quality initiatives, and with our newly announced investment plans with Bridge Growth Partners, BackOffice Associates is on the precipice of disrupting the information governance landscape,” said David Booth, chairman and CEO, BackOffice Associates. “Our achievements in the first half of 2017 underscore our commitment to helping our world-class customer base address today’s complex data challenges through investment-backed, market leading software and services.”
Global Achievements
In Europe and Africa, the Barcelona Global Delivery Center and BackOffice Associates’ continued support of SAP S4/HANA® deployments have led to more than a 100 percent year over year increase in bookings for the first half of 2017. Partnerships with new systems integrators such as Infor have also increased indirect sales. With plans to hire additional consultants, BackOffice Associates has relocated its European headquarters in Farnborough to accommodate current and future growth.
“In Europe, we have again experienced double-digit growth through the first half of 2017 as the market is demanding our software and services, particularly our expertise in supporting SAP consolidation and S/4HANA migrations. Thanks to an outstanding team of consultants and our unique DSP platform, we have continued to deliver successful go-lives for numerous customers across a range of industries,” said Clive Bellmore, CEO of Europe and Africa, BackOffice Associates.
In the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions, BackOffice Associates has aggressively expanded its customer base with key regional deals in agriculture, food and beverage, manufacturing, mining, and retail industry segments. Marquee customer wins include Asia Pulp and Paper, one of the world’s largest pulp and paper companies; Jollibee Foods Corporation, the largest food retailer in the Philippines; PT Sinar Mas Agro Resources and Technology Tbk in Indonesia; and Australian-based customers Transport for New South Wales as well as Spotlight Retail Group.
“As organizations continue to express interest in the key business opportunities that information governance brings, BackOffice’s information governance solution is viewed as the standard bearer in the Middle East and Asia Pacific regions,” said Krish Datta, CEO, Asia Pacific Japan and Middle East, BackOffice Associates.
Product Innovations and Industry Accolades
In addition to expanding its solution delivery through the launch of dspCloud, which gives organizations increased flexibility for implementing BackOffice Associates’ DSP, BackOffice also unveiled critical new offerings for its Digital Transformation Practice earlier this year. The latest solutions aid businesses’ transition to SAP S/4HANA as their digital core, enable a consumer-grade user experience and deliver real-time integration guidance to generate data-driven business results.
Recognized for its exceptional information governance and data stewardship solutions through awards and by industry research firms over the first half of the year, BackOffice Associates was recently honored for the fourth consecutive year on the Database Trends and Applications (DBTA) 100 list, which recognizes the top companies that matter most in data. The company was also named a “Strong Performer” by Forrester Research in its independent report, “The Forrester Wave™: Data Governance Stewardship and Discovery Providers, Q2 2017” and included as a representative vendor in Gartner’s “Market Guide for Information Stewardship Applications” for the second year in a row.
“Through our passion and continued growth of our software and services, industry pundits and our customers are increasingly recognizing BackOffice efforts in advancing visionary information governance solutions to solve increasingly complex data challenges,” said Rex Ahlstrom, Chief Strategy and Technology Officer. “We see the next six to 12 months as a transformative period for both the overall market as well as BackOffice Associates positioning within the industry.”
