Phoenix, Arizona (PRWEB) September 13, 2017 -- Envoy America, a comprehensive ridesharing program that offers accompanied transportation and extra assistance for seniors, announced its expansion into Seattle. This is the first new market expansion into Washington state for the Phoenix-based company, which announced that Monica Escalante will serve as Director of Operations for Envoy America, Washington. Escalante, who has spent the last 6 years leading the American Cancer Society’s Services and Programs in Arizona, is originally from Puyallup, Washington.
Instead of the standard curb side service of other transportation companies, Envoy America offers a door-to-door service where drivers are companions for their clients and remain with them until they are back home. All drivers are mature, CPR & First Aid certified, trained on how to work with clients who may have memory issues, trained on how to help riders safely transfer out of a wheelchair and into/out of a car, and provide a helping hand for doctors’ appointments, grocery shopping, social outings, religious services and more, just like a son or daughter would with tasks that often become more difficult for seniors. In most cases, Envoy America rates cost less than a taxi or other ridesharing service.
“This service has been life-changing for so many seniors and their families in the Phoenix, Tucson, Houston and Dallas areas since it launched in 2015, and we are thrilled to be able to bring this service here to the Seattle area,” said Monica Escalante, Director of Operations for Envoy America. “A large segment of the local population in Seattle are seniors who want to stay active but can no longer get behind the wheel of a car, and we make that freedom possible and affordable.”
The company founders initially developed this service in order to care for their own aging parents, who recently lost the ability to drive and with it, their independence.
“We created Envoy America so that my mom and people like her would never have to worry about where they wanted to go,” said Envoy America Chief Executive Officer K. C. Kanaan. “We understand that seniors need reliable, safe, door-to-door transportation that comes at a specified time, is affordable, and provides polite, compassionate, professional service, and that’s what we do every single time.”
Envoy America will start its service in Pierce county and will expand within the next few months to cover King and Snohomish counties. To schedule a ride or to learn more, please call 888-375-5558 or visit http://envoyamerica.com/.
