Is Scary Film Life Raft the Very Worst Movie of All Time?
Los Angeles, CA. (PRWEB) September 13, 2017 -- It all started with a dream. Actually, more like a nightmare. Many artists, from Paul McCartney to Salvadore Dali, have found inspiration in the dream state. Some were pleasant, others not so much. The latter was the case for Todd Colby Pliss, director/writer of the suspense feature film, Life Raft.
Life Raft follows a group of friends whom, after their boat mysteriously sinks, with no supplies and strange happenings, must trust each other long enough to survive.
As Pliss explains, “For about two years, I kept having this strange recurring dream of being stuck on a raft in the foggy middle of nowhere, with some of my buddies, drifting aimlessly with all this really weird stuff happening. My own private Twilight Zone screening in my head. I figured the only way to exercise this demon, so to speak, would be to actually get it on film.”
However, Pliss’ nightmare may turn out to be a bad dream for moviegoers. As one reviewer wrote, “I couldn’t stop watching this movie. Too absurd to hate.” Another fan referred to it as “A masterpiece of crap.”
When asked about the strong reaction to his movie, the director replied, “Hey, I loved movies like Plan 9 From Outer Space and The Room, so to be compared to films like that isn’t a bad thing. Don’t blame me, blame my nightmares.”
The movie has been receiving so much buzz, that Pliss is now fielding calls from distributors for a possible limited theatrical run.
Judge for yourself. Life Raft is now available on Amazon and Amazon Prime.
Since relocating to Los Angeles from his native New York, Todd had spent three years as writer/host of the popular comedy television show, Dino & Rocco’s Back Alley. Todd has directed the award-winning short films, Execution at County Jail and Einstein’s Brain. Todd is also the founder/CEO of the popular business, Rent A Grandma (rentagrandma.com) which has been featured on ABC’s Shark Tank.
