Tel Aviv, Israel (PRWEB) September 13, 2017
CityShob, the fast-growing smart city enabler company, announces the launch of a unique smart city project in Mexico. The initiative, in the metropolitan area of Guadalajara, is part of a new surveillance project called "Urban Shield C5" and features an operation center connected to 600 cameras installed and distributed throughout the city. The operation center includes 17 operator workstations, each with 3 screens and an operator who can track suspects, handle incidents, work with cameras, perform investigations and other key tasks. Of the 3 screens, one displays all the cameras and videos relating to an incident, the second displays incident location and city assets such as police cars, ambulances, firefighters, etc., and the third displays operator incident information together with protocols of actions to be taken in each situation.
According to Noam Maoz CEO of CityShob, “This operation center, the first of its kind in Guadalajara, is part of our first phase and is expected to be fully operational in November-December. At the same time, we will be cementing our presence in this important region by building a central compound in El Palomar which will be ten times larger.”
By September 2018, the central compound at the El Palomar facility will have the capacity to operate 6000 cameras, as well as 2,500 sensors including distress buttons. The cameras and sensors will have the ability to detect facial features, car license plates, shooting from firearms and suspicious movements. There will be up to 500 video analytics cameras for identification purposes, depending on the location. For example, a camera located close to a school that detects traffic outside normal hours will send an alert to an operator.
According to Aristóteles Sandoval, Governor of the State of Jalisco, “By combining big-data with advanced technology and IoT, CityShob’s smart city solution helps me control and manage all the municipal aspects under my domain, which in turn helps me optimize resources, protect assets and enhance the wellbeing and security of everyone in our city.”
