iTexico Earns 2017 National Export Award from Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto
AUSTIN, TX (PRWEB) September 13, 2017 -- iTexico and 11 other large and medium-sized companies with major operations in Mexico received the prestigious award from Mexico President Enrique Peña Nieto at a ceremony held on Sept. 7. Selected companies were chosen for their distinguished accomplishments toward the development and sales of products and services abroad. Judging criteria included creativity, quality, consistency, and innovation.
"The exporting country we are today is a result of our strengths as a nation, the quality and talent of Mexicans, and our openness to the world," said President Peña. “In view of the opportunities offered by our commercial relations with various markets, we must be bold. It is time for Mexico, and for Mexican entrepreneurs, to start taking new steps towards an effective diversification of their trade with the world.”
iTexico has made major technology investments in Mexico, starting with a delivery center in Guadalajara in 2011, and following with a secondary development site in Aguascalientes which opened earlier this year.
Both development centers coordinate seamlessly with iTexico’s headquarters operations in Austin, TX, to provide US clients with the benefits of the company’s “nearshoring” service model. This model delivers iTexico clients the benefits of outsourcing, combined with the myriad advantages offered by operations in Mexico.
“iTexico could not have enjoyed the success it has without the strong partnerships we have developed with the Mexican nation,” said Anurag Kumar, CEO of iTexico. “Mexico offers us proximity and time zone advantages, growing technology talent capacity, and greater cultural alignment, than through other global offshoring options.”
Mexico President Peña bestowed National Export Awards in several categories, including: Small Industrial Exporting Companies; Industrial Medium Export Companies; Large Industrial Exporting Companies; Small And Medium Agricultural Export Enterprises; Large Agricultural Export Companies; Manufacturing Companies; Maquiladoras Or Export Services; Small, Medium And Large Exporting Companies; Exporting Companies; Service Providers; Educational Institutions; Indirect Exporting Companies; Agencies Promoting Foreign Trade.
