Premier Financial Alliance’s Agents and Its Community Answer the Call to Action, Fundraises for Houston Hurricane Victims
Brisbane, California (PRWEB) September 14, 2017 -- SEAL Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, founded by the Wu Brothers (Jack Wu & Rex Wu) top leaders of Premier Financial Alliance, announces the successful conclusion of their online “Harvey Donations” fundraiser.
When the time came to help others, SEAL Foundation rushed to help. Organizing an online fundraiser, over 100 donors (most of them are agents of Premier Financial Alliance and supporters of SEAL Foundation) gave from their own pockets to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey in their time of need. The “Harvey Donations” fundraiser, which ran from August 31 through September 4, exceeded their $25,000 donation goal in less than 36 hours. By the end of the 5-day fundraiser, SEAL Foundation had raised roughly $27,000 for Hurricane Harvey relief in Houston.
On August 25, Hurricane Harvey made landfall on the Texas Gulf Coast. In one of the worst hurricanes to make landfall since Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Harvey has destroyed the lives of many Houstonians and killed over 71 people (70 in US, 1 in Guyana). While the actual storm is over, the effects of Hurricane Harvey will be greatly felt for months to come. It is estimated that Hurricane Harvey caused more than $100 billion dollars in damages, including homes, cars, businesses, and the environment.
The members of SEAL Foundation and agents of Premier Financial Alliance are both especially grateful for every single donor who helped to make this fundraiser a success. The donation will be distributed between Chinese Civic Center, an IRS 501 C (3) nonprofit organization that was established in 1995 by volunteers from Houston’s Chinese community for the community, and the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund, which was set up by Mayor Sylvester Turner at the Greater Houston Community Foundation.
