Amercanex Welcomes Robert Mercorella as Chief Operating Officer

Green Tree International, parent company of Amercanex, announced the appointment of financial industry veteran Robert Mercorella to the Executive Board. Current Chief Operating Officer (COO) Michael Herron was named President of U.S. Markets and Dennis Garces will be the President of International Markets.

The announcement comes as Amercanex continues to develop and expand their reach throughout North America, adding a new sales team and launching three software platforms: ACExchange, ACEpay and ACEtrak.

“Robert is an incredible addition to our team,” says Amercanex CEO Steve Janjic, who has worked with the new COO at two previous companies. “His level of experience in the financial and technology sectors give him the knowledge and flexibility to help with our company’s growth and expansion.”

Mercorella was a Financial Advisor for both Citigroup and Morgan Stanley, offering counsel on wealth management, risk mitigation, estate planning and trusts to clients of high-net worth. Previously, he served as the US CEO of Advanced Currency Markets, a foreign exchange firm, and was the practice market lead for Accenture’s Global Capital Markets Industry Program. He was also the Senior Vice President for a global Futures Commission Merchant, leading global marketing efforts throughout Europe, Asia and the United States.

Early in his career, Mercorella worked at Adirondack Trading Partners, which helped launch the International Securities Exchange. He was a transactional attorney at Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP after graduating from Fordham Law School. Mercorella earned his DBS in Business from the London School of Economics and his BA in Economics from Colgate University.
