WHAT: The Honorable Jeff Longwell will once again host the annual fundraising event benefiting Kansas students and UNCF-member institutions. UNCF offers scholarships and other academic support to African American college students who have an interest in developing and applying an entrepreneurial mindset to their career pursuits. In addition to this program, UNCF has awarded more than half a million dollars in scholarships to students attending colleges in Kansas.
“I urge you to help us in our quest to support educational opportunity growth in our community,” said Longwell. “The funds raised at this luncheon will help students in our community to pursue their dreams and raise themselves, and thusly our city and region, up through higher knowledge and personal betterment.”
