Soriant Healthcare Senior Consultant Rock Jensen, is a key contributor to the resource book
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) September 18, 2017 -- Rock Jensen, Senior Consultant at Soriant Healthcare, has served as a major contributor for the new book compiled by the Association for the Healthcare Environment (AHE), Staffing Methodologies and Standards for Healthcare: Environmental Services, represents the collective work of a carefully-assembled Staffing Task Force. “We’re incredibly proud of the work put in by Rock on this project,” explains Erik Scott, COO of Soriant Healthcare. “His extensive experience in the area of environmental services staffing for the healthcare industry was invaluable for compiling this useful resource. It’s a project he’s been involved with since 2015.”
The AHE Task Force reviewed staffing practices, standards, and methodologies at hundreds of healthcare facilities across the U.S. Using surveys, interviews, and data analysis, the group discovered that several factors, versus one single metric, were indicative of success in healthcare-related environmental staffing. Success factors include patient volume, facility square footage, and individual hospital lock-in positions.
Soriant Healthcare has a multi-year history of improving the staffing process of health systems in the support services arena. With a focus on improving patient care, Senior Consultants like Rock Jensen have produced outstanding economic results for healthcare facilities both large and small. Through contract negotiation, maximized productivity, and implementation of lower-cost supplies, Soriant has saved hundreds of hospitals millions of dollars on Environmental Services costs.
“Obviously,” says Scott, “the staffing requirements for traditional housekeeping and janitorial organizations are different from those specific to the healthcare industry. This resource is meant to be of use specifically to healthcare professionals. That’s something that has never been done before.”
Soriant Healthcare and AHE intend that ES departments use the findings, outlined in the new book, to identify staffing best practices unique to each individual facility. The book will be available for purchase on the Association of the Healthcare Environment’s official website as of Q4 2017.
