Ridgefield Park, New Jersey (PRWEB) September 18, 2017
CareOne, a premier family-owned healthcare company with more than 32 centers in New Jersey, is rallying the community on Sunday, September 24 to support residents currently displaced or gravely impacted by the recent hurricanes that have made landfall in the U.S. and the Caribbean. Starting at 9:00 a.m. in Overpeck County Park in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey, the CareOne 4th Annual 5K will welcome registrants of all ages to participate.
Now in its fourth consecutive year, the CareOne Annual 5K is part of the company’s ongoing and far-reaching philanthropic efforts. As such, 100 percent of the day’s proceeds will be donated to Best Friends Animal Society, Americares and Goodwill for their hurricane relief efforts. With the recent devastation and destruction in Texas, the southeast United States and the Caribbean, CareOne as a company, and the Straus family, are using this annual event as a way to bring a little light to residents and business owners in Texas, Florida and the Caribbean who are unable to see anything but darkness during this very difficult time. Just as CareOne rallied its employees, staff and community in the days and months following Superstorm Sandy, the company is again looking to support those in need with this annual race.
Registration information for the CareOne 4th Annual 5K is currently available via the CareOne website. Same-day registration will also be made available to participants starting at 7 a.m. Welcome speeches will commence at 8:30 a.m. and the race will start at 9:00 a.m. Awards will be presented to the first-, second- and third-place finishers in specific age groups in both the male and female categories. The top adult male and female runners will each receive one economy airline ticket valued at up to $1,200.00 to be used anywhere in the continental United States. CareOne’s Rehabilitation Department will also be on-site administering free massages, while their Culinary Department will be making smoothies and playa bowls.
