Sheri Law of Sheri Law Art Glass, Ltd. receives the 2017 Entrepreneurial Excellence Award

My passion is to create art that may be appreciated and enjoyed by my clients for many years. In a spirit of giving back, I have been fortunate to share my talents with select local nonprofits that are close to my heart so that they too can experience the beauty of art glass in their lives.

Sheri Law, president and owner of the Homer Glen-based Sheri Law Art Glass, Ltd. in Homer Glen, is among the several honorees who were honored during the 18th annual Daily Herald Business Ledger’s Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards. Law was one of 18 entrepreneurs recognized at the event held Sept. 14 at Oak Brook Hills Resort/Hilton.

The Ledger’s awards recognize and build entrepreneurship in Cook County, DuPage County, Kane County, Lake County, McHenry County and Will County. Honorees demonstrate the best traits of entrepreneurship, including willingness to take risk, drive, perseverance and business creativity.

The publication recognized Law in the Regional Spirit Category. This award shows an honoree’s commitment to the growth and well being of the region through outstanding corporate citizenship and promotion of regional ties. Those in this category demonstrated their activity in local and regional business groups, promotion of charitable and civic causes and work to build the region’s work force and enhance the quality of life.

“I’m very honored and blessed to receive this award,” Law said. "My passion is to create art that may be appreciated and enjoyed by my clients for many years. In a spirit of giving back, I have been fortunate to share my talents with select local nonprofits that are close to my heart so that they too can experience the beauty of art glass in their lives. I donated a stained glass window to be the focal point of a family room for the Crisis Center of South Suburbia in Tinley Park that helps abused women and children. I’m also involved in the 100 Women Who Care Will County which raises monies for selected charities.”
